As the days grow colder and the first frosty mornings arrive, it is time to prepare the home for winter. While garden furniture is moved into storage and other outdoor items are put away, it is also a good opportunity to tackle a few cleaning jobs both inside and outside the home.
Here are three tasks worth completing before winter arrives.
Wash the windows before the frosty weather
Autumn is still a good time to clean the windows, as there is plenty of daylight and the weather is not yet too cold. Even if you washed them during the summer, the outside may need a quick clean to remove marks left by rain and birds, as well as fingerprints.
Use the SINI Window Starter Set together with the Window Cleaner and Squeegee Combo for larger window surfaces. The same tool makes it easy to both wash and dry the glass. Smaller marks and fingerprints can easily be removed with the Window Microfibre Cloth.
Get it done before the frosty weather arrives, and your windows will be clean and sparkling as the darker season begins.

Clean exterior doors and the surrounding areas
Exterior doors are easily overlooked during regular cleaning, even though they are one of the first things you see when entering a home. After summer and autumn, the doors may be covered in dust, dirt, muddy marks and fingerprints.
For everyday dirt, spray SINI Universal Cleaner onto the surface or a SINI Universal Microfibre Cloth, then wipe the door clean.
The new SINI Super Cleaner is a practical choice for larger door surfaces and areas that are difficult to reach. Its swivelling head makes it easier to clean corners, door frames and around handles.
For particularly stubborn marks, you can carefully try the SINI Cleaning Stone. Test it on a small, inconspicuous area first and use it gently to make sure it is suitable for the surface.
While cleaning the doors, it is also a good idea to check the seals before the colder weather arrives.

Clean the glass door of the fireplace
As the colder autumn weather arrives and you begin using the fireplace again, take the opportunity to clean the glass doors. This is also a good opportunity to check whether the ash pan needs emptying.
The glass can be cleaned using cold ash from the fireplace. Dampen a cleaning cloth with water, dip it lightly into the ash and gently rub the dirty glass. Finish by wiping the glass with a clean, damp cloth.
Three relatively small cleaning jobs can make the home feel fresher and better prepared for the colder months. Once they are complete, you can settle in and enjoy a clean and cosy autumn at home.
