4 Tips for Easier Recycling at Home

Plastic packaging, glass, metal, cardboard, deposit bottles, newspapers, and paper... There are plenty of materials to recycle, but often very little space at home. Here are four practical tips to make recycling easier.

1. Create More Space for Recycling in Your Kitchen

Not enough room in your kitchen for all your recycling bins? If your waste cabinet only accommodates a few containers, complement it with recycling bins. They come in different sizes, and the slim recycling bin fits easily even in compact kitchens. SINI recycling bins can be placed side by side, stacked, positioned under a countertop, or tucked into narrow spaces.

The convenient front opening makes it easy to drop in cans and packaging while cooking. The stylish bins can be combined to suit your home and expanded later by simply adding more recycling bins.

2. Don't Limit Recycling to the Kitchen

The kitchen is often the only recycling area in the home, but why not place recycling bins elsewhere as well? Recycling bins fit perfectly in the hallway, utility room, or even under the stairs. This helps free up valuable kitchen storage space for dishes and food.

You can create a practical recycling station wherever you have room, or even use the bins for storing household items when needed.

3. Create a Recycling Station Under or Next to Your Countertop

Do you have a small space under your kitchen countertop that could be turned into a practical recycling station? Two recycling bins can be stacked under the counter, and the lower bin can still be opened even when another bin is placed on top.

The convenient front opening makes it easy to dispose of plastic packaging, cardboard, and other recyclable materials. The recycling bin also takes up very little space when placed next to the countertop and won't obstruct walkways.

4. Make Room for Plastic Packaging

Are you already an experienced recycler? If so, you've probably noticed that plastic packaging makes up the largest share of recyclable household waste.

A used plastic package can be given a new life as a durable SINI cleaning tool. That's why it's a good idea to dedicate a recycling bin to plastic packaging in your kitchen. Recycling plastic helps reduce mixed waste, supports the circular economy, and contributes to reducing climate impact.
