I’m a telescopic handle. Calm, dependable, and the kind of long-reaching type who still manages to get everywhere. I’m a little proud that so many tools want to work with me. I don’t make a big deal out of myself, but without me, many tools would just stay in the cupboard waiting for their turn. Thanks to me, the others get to show their full potential.
My lightweight aluminium shaft extends to places others simply can’t reach: all the way up to the ceiling. With a twist-lock mechanism, my length adjusts to just the right size: sometimes a shorter handle is enough, and sometimes I need to stretch to my full reach. I’m part of the SINI system, which means I can be used with countless different tools, from the Dust Sword to a mop.
Today, I’ll tell you what my day was like in one family’s everyday life.
Morning: Dust Everywhere
My morning started in the hallway. The human finally noticed that the layer of dust on top of the cupboard had practically started a life of its own. That’s when I was extended to my full length, and the Dust Sword clicked firmly into place on my head.
“Alright, up we go,” I thought, reaching up with my Dust Sword companion to the top shelves. Places no one had reached in ages. The dust bunnies were sent packing, and once again, I got to help a hero.

Daytime: The Floor Saver
The dogs had been running in and out all morning, and the living room floor looked exactly like you’d expect. Time to switch my partner to the multi-purpose mop.
“Easy does it,” I guided. The microfibre cloth glided smoothly across the floor, and together with the multi-purpose mop, we were an unbeatable team. Stains and splashes disappeared in no time, and once again, we earned plenty of praise.

Afternoon: A Sofa Surprise
During the day, it turned out guests were coming over. The living room sofa had been more the dog’s kingdom than the humans’ for quite some time. Hair was everywhere. That’s when I was paired with the carpet lint roller.
“Roll, roll,” the sticky roller collected the dog hair, and I felt a little spark of pride. The sofa looked neat again in an instant, and the family sighed with relief.

Kids on the Job
The kids had decided to play with the full-length mirrors, and it definitely showed. The mirror was covered in fingerprints and even a few nose smudges here and there. I was handed over to the kids, and a window cleaner-squeegee was attached to my head. I was a little nervous, because with kids, you never quite know what’s coming.
But they did great: swoosh, swoosh, and the mirror was shining again. I felt proud that I got to help guide a new generation into the world of cleaning, together with my trusty buddy.

Evening: A Muddy Puppy, A Wet Bathroom
But the day wasn’t over yet. The puppy had been charging through the forest, and an evening wash in the bathroom was the only solution. Once the dog was clean, it was the bathroom’s turn. A bathroom brush was swapped onto my head, and together we got to work scrubbing the floor.
Finally, I teamed up with a floor squeegee. With smooth strokes, we guided the water off the floor, leaving the bathroom dry and safe.

Night: Well-Deserved Rest
When the family went to bed, I returned to the cupboard to rest in the familiar, safe embrace of my old friend, the tool hanger. I felt satisfied.
Today, I had been the backbone of six different tools: the Dust Sword, the multi-purpose mop, the carpet lint roller, the window cleaner-squeegee the bathroom brush, and the floor squeegee. In every task, I adjusted to just the right length and helped my partners shine at their very best.
Tomorrow might be a calmer day. Still, I know I’ll always be needed.
Yours truly,
The SINI Telescopic Handle
