Sustainability at SINI
We are continuously developing new products that help create a cleaner world. We believe that responsible and sustainable choices are not only the best for the planet—they often benefit your wallet as well. Recycled plastic is the primary raw material used in the production of SINI cleaning tools. Increasing the use of recycled plastic is also the most effective way to reduce the carbon footprint of our products. Both of our factories in Finland are completely carbon neutral. Approximately 80% of our products are manufactured at these factories. Supporting Finnish labor and the well-being of our employees are matters of honor for us.
High-quality products made from recycled plastic
The most hygienic and durable material for cleaning tools is plastic. We don’t want the planet to be overwhelmed by plastic waste – quite the opposite! Currently, nearly 60 percent of the plastic raw material used in our factories is recycled. We believe that the efficient use of recycled plastic is key to addressing two major global environmental crises: climate change and the plastic waste problem.
Against disposable culture
We don't want to produce anything unnecessary. We design our products so that worn-out parts can be replaced without needing to buy an entirely new product. Our products are also compatible; one SINI handle is enough to attach all the essential cleaning tools for the home. We ensure that our products are high-quality and built to last
Our factories in Finland are carbon neutral
Our main factory in Kokemäki has been carbon neutral since 2020. Following the acquisition in 2020, the factory in Akaa was made carbon neutral during 2021, making our entire production in Finland carbon neutral.
Our goal is happy employees
In a successful company, there are healthy and satisfied employees. We want to be a good employer and invest in the well-being of our staff. We are likely one of the few companies in Finland that offers a benefit for taking break exercises.
We participate in society
We are a long-term partner of the Pink Ribbon campaign. Additionally, we participate in several smaller charity projects in Finland each year. During 2022 and 2023, we actively supported Ukraine. Furthermore, we support a SINI school in Tanzania.
UN Sustainable Development Goals at SINI
The UN Sustainable Development Goals aim to steer the world towards a more sustainable and equitable future by 2030. As a company, we recognize our responsibility to contribute to these goals. Currently, our primary focus areas include ensuring decent work for all, promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth, encouraging responsible consumption, and taking urgent action to combat climate change and its effects.
