There’s More Than One Way to Clean Windows
There’s no single right or wrong way to clean windows — everyone has their own method. In this post, we’ll share a quick and easy way that really works.
If you want to do an extra quick clean, just wash the dirtiest window (usually the outside surface) – even that alone often makes a big difference!
What You Need for Easy Window Cleaning
- A Window cleaner with a microfiber sleeve
- A squeegee (or the duo cleaner above)
- 2 Microfibre Window cloths
-
A towel
A bucket with window cleaning solution or dish soap mixed with water
If you have high windows, a telescopic shaft will come in handy.
How to Clean Windows Easily
- Mix the cleaning solution in the bucket
- Place a towel at the bottom of the window to catch any splashes.
- Wet the microfibre window cleaner and squeeze out some liquid, but leave it wet.
- Wash the entire window with the cleaner, starting from the top. Make sure to cover the whole surface, the window should be wet.
- Use the squeegee to dry the window by pulling it horizontally across the window.
- The squeegee should glide smoothly if the window is wet enough.
- Wipe the excess water off the squeegee with one of the window cloths.
-
Once you’ve squeegeed the entire window, use a clean, dry window cloth to wipe away any streaks or edges.
Voilà — your window is clean!
